Pet Nanny Agreement
This agreement applies to pet nannies who apply to or are accepted into the Premier Pet Connect pet nanny network. By submitting a pet nanny application, you agree to the following terms.
Independent Contractor Status
Pet nannies are independent contractors, not employees of Premier Pet Connect.
Premier Pet Connect facilitates pet deliveries by coordinating transportation between buyers, sellers, and approved pet nannies. However, Premier Pet Connect does not guarantee delivery opportunities or minimum earnings for pet nannies.
Compensation
Compensation for each delivery will be communicated before you accept a delivery opportunity.
Most deliveries are paid using Premier Pet Connect's standard flat-rate compensation structure. Non-standard deliveries may be offered using custom pricing. Compensation for every delivery is confirmed before you accept an assignment.
Premier Pet Connect may update delivery pricing and pet nanny compensation at any time. The compensation offered at the time a delivery is accepted is the compensation that will be paid for that delivery.
Pet nannies are responsible for reviewing the delivery details and compensation before accepting an assignment.
Travel Expenses
Pet nannies are responsible for their own airline, baggage, pet, transportation, lodging, meals, and all other travel-related expenses associated with any delivery they choose to accept.
Professional Responsibilities
Pet nannies agree to:
- Provide safe, professional, and compassionate care throughout transport.
- Follow all feeding and care instructions provided by the buyer or seller.
- Once a pet is accepted for transport, remain responsible for the pet's care, supervision, and safety until the pet is released to the authorized recipient.
- Maintain prompt and professional communication with Premier Pet Connect, buyers, and sellers.
- Respond promptly to delivery-related communications.
- Provide periodic updates and photos during travel, particularly on longer trips or whenever there is a significant change in the travel itinerary.
- Notify Premier Pet Connect immediately if travel plans change or an issue arises during transport.
Frequent late cancellations, poor communication, or failure to fulfill accepted deliveries may result in removal from the Premier Pet Connect network.
Delivery Opportunities
Premier Pet Connect may offer each delivery opportunity to one or more approved pet nannies based on the requested route, travel benefits, availability, and scheduling needs.
Pet nannies are expected to respond as promptly as possible by accepting or declining delivery opportunities. Timely responses allow Premier Pet Connect to coordinate deliveries efficiently and provide buyers and sellers with prompt confirmation.
Deliveries are generally assigned to the first qualified pet nanny who accepts the assignment and is confirmed by Premier Pet Connect.
Premier Pet Connect reserves the right to determine which approved pet nanny is the best fit for any delivery based on route availability, responsiveness, scheduling needs, experience, and other operational considerations.
Client Relationships
Buyers and sellers introduced through Premier Pet Connect remain Premier Pet Connect clients. Pet nannies agree to direct future delivery requests through Premier Pet Connect rather than arranging deliveries independently.
Travel Planning and Routing
Pet nannies are responsible for determining their own flight routing and travel plans.
Pet nannies are expected to provide their anticipated travel itinerary, including planned flights and estimated pickup and delivery timing, to Premier Pet Connect within 24 hours of accepting the delivery. If travel plans change, updated information should be communicated promptly so buyers and sellers can be kept informed.
Once a pet has been accepted for transport, pet nannies agree to make every reasonable effort to complete the delivery as efficiently as possible using available standby travel options. This may occasionally require traveling through alternate airports or taking a less direct routing when necessary to reach the destination.
The goal is to deliver each pet safely while minimizing unnecessary travel time and delays and keeping everyone informed of any itinerary changes.
Pet Condition at Pickup
Pet nannies should not accept a pet for transport if the pet appears seriously ill, injured, or otherwise unfit for travel. If concerns arise at pickup, the pet nanny should decline transport and promptly contact Premier Pet Connect.
Disease Prevention & Safe Handling
Pet nannies play an important role in helping protect young puppies from unnecessary exposure to illness during travel.
Pet nannies agree to:
- Keep puppies off the ground at airports and other public locations.
- Keep puppies safely secured in their airline-compliant carrier whenever practical.
- If a puppy is removed from the carrier, hold the puppy securely on their lap or in their arms until it can be safely returned to the carrier.
- Use a clean potty pad inside the carrier throughout travel.
- Avoid unnecessary contact between the puppy and members of the public.
- Politely decline requests from others to pet or hold the puppy in order to reduce the risk of disease transmission.
Pet Nanny Equipment & Supplies
Pet nannies are responsible for bringing the basic supplies needed to help ensure a safe and comfortable trip for every pet they transport. All equipment should be clean, sanitized, and ready before travel.
At a minimum, pet nannies should have:
- โ๏ธ A clean, airline-compliant pet carrier that fits beneath the seat in front of them.
- ๐พ NutriCal (recommended for transporting small breed puppies).
- ๐ง A clean travel water bottle or small water bowl.
- ๐งป Potty pads to line the carrier.
- ๐งผ Unscented wipes for minor cleanups during travel.
- ๐๏ธ Poop bags for sanitary cleanup and disposal.
Pet nannies are encouraged to keep these supplies stocked and ready so they can confidently accept delivery opportunities when they become available.
Identification and Documentation
Pet nannies are responsible for confirming they have received all documentation required for travel before beginning transport.
This typically includes a veterinary health record containing the pet's vaccination records and date of birth. While airlines rarely request to review these documents, they are generally required to accompany the traveling pet.
Pet nannies are responsible for ensuring this documentation is in their possession before travel begins.
No Unauthorized Transfers
Pets may only be released to the intended recipient or another individual specifically authorized by the buyer or seller.
Before releasing a pet, the pet nanny must verify the recipient's government-issued photo ID to confirm their identity.
After the handoff is complete, the pet nanny should document the completed delivery with a photo and send it to the delivery group text, confirming that the pet has been safely delivered.
These procedures help ensure every pet is delivered safely to the correct recipient.
Limitation of Liability
Premier Pet Connect coordinates pet transportation between buyers, sellers, and independent pet nannies.
Pet nannies remain solely responsible for their own conduct, travel decisions, and compliance with airline policies, airline personnel instructions, and all applicable laws and regulations while providing transportation services.
Premier Pet Connect is not responsible for airline policies, standby availability, denied boarding, flight delays, flight cancellations, weather events, airport disruptions, airline operational decisions, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Premier Pet Connect shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of its services or from transportation issues beyond its reasonable control.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
